The Natures Marines collection transforms tables into imaginary reefs

Algae soaked in fresh water and corals in radiant sun tones compose the marine garden of the new Natures Marines tableware collection, launched last August 19 at the Hermès boutique in Greenbelt 2. Delicate, translucent branches undulate and overlap along the contours of the porcelain teapots, plates, and bowls. A gold thread, hand-painted onto the volumetric pieces, evokes the reflections of rays of light beneath the sea.
Guests were given hand-painted illustrations inspired by the Natures Marines collection.
To design the motifs on the collection’s 34 pieces, Charlotte Macaux Perelman and Alexis Fabry, artistic directors of the Hermès home universe, called upon illustrator Katie Scott. Inspired by 19th-century English botanical illustrations and the marine flora of the Welsh coastline, the British artist meticulously drew the hundred plant species that adorn the porcelain, playing with a palette of 30 vibrant tones: cool greens, mineral beiges, deep oranges and reds. It’s an ode to the delicacy of a colorful, singular marine world.
Hermès’ Natures Marine tableware collection is available at all Hermès boutiques.
