Four exclusive, gem-set versions of Rolex’s Oyster Perpetual Cosmosgraph Daytona were auctioned individually by Phillips’ senior consultant Aurel Bacs last Sept, 28, earning £37,300,000 or US$49,467,2760. Organized in partnership with Phillips, all proceeds will benefit the Federer Foundation and Re:wild.
The Federer Foundation, founded by Roger Federer, champions early and foundational learning for children across Southern Africa and Switzerland. Re:wild, co-founded by Leonardo DiCaprio, protects and restores wild ecosystems around the world.
The four unique timepieces each embodies a different season through a combination of precious metals, natural stones, colored gemstones, and diamonds.

The Cosmograph Daytona Winter is made from 950 platinum and crafted from blue opal with counters in lapis lazuli, with eight baguette-cut diamonds and three square-cut diamonds in 18 carat white gold settings for the hour markers. The bezel is set with 36 trapeze-cut sapphires in a blue to fuchsia gradient (approx. 5.57 carats), with the lugs and crown guard set with 54 brilliant-cut diamonds (approx. 0.86 carats). The Superlative Chronometer certified watch sold for £10,000,000 (about $ 13,251,176).
Cosmograph Daytona Spring
The Cosmograph Daytona Spring is made of 18 carat white gold, crafted from chrysoprase with counters in lepidolite. Its hour markers are eight baguette-cut purple sapphires and three square-cut purple sapphires in 18-carat white gold settings, and set with 36 trapeze-cut purple sapphires (approx. 5.57 carats). The Cosmograph Daytona Summer is made of 18 carat Everose gold, with a dial crafted from turquoise with counters in heart of ruby. The hour markers are eight baguette-cut pink sapphires and three square-cut pink sapphires in 18 carat pink gold settings, with a bezel set with 36 trapeze-cut pink sapphires (approx. 4.32 carats)
