In last Thursday’s fashion show attended by the bejeweled crowd, a hugely bejeweled crowd, the video crew of Bilyonaryo stood at the ballroom door, ready to interview.
Their question, we were told? “What do you think of what’s going on?” Obviously referring to the mother of all corruption, the ghost flood control projects and the billions of pesos of kickback.
One fashion designer who was put on-cam on the spot told us how he just froze. But then, bless him, he was neither a contractor nor a congressmam.
Another ambushed interviewee had the presence of mind to give a nearly biblical reply: “Everything happens for a reason.” But then again, he was neither a contractor nor a congressman.
Not sure if the hardworking Bilyonaryo crew was able to ambush any contractor or government official. Too bad, barbarians restricted only at the gate, to use a ’90s phrase.
