Rustan’s lights up! It’s the start of Christmas season

The visual magic comes with lots of promos and in-store experiences

Rustan's Christmas window is the much-awaited merry beginning of the holiday season in Metro Manila.

The Rustan’s Christmas window has become the signal of the start of the Christmas season in the Philippines—known to be the longest yuletide celebration in the world—particularly in its flagship store in Makati, not only because of its visual appeal, but also because the glad tidings it exudes have come to stand for the Filipinos’ cherished values of family togetherness, tradition, and faith.

This season, Rustan’s introduces “Light Up This Christmas with Rustan’s”—the sparkle of lights and evergreen trees, enhanced by  festive tunes and solemn hymns, echoing the hope brought by the birth of Jesus. The campaign, designed to be an immersive celebration the entire holiday season, was launched last October 24, attended by the city’s trend-makers who were welcomed by the Tantoco family of the country’s premier retail store chain.

The Christmas Shop is back, with activities and interactive attractions, markdowns, and shopping experiences.

Donnie Tantoco, president of Rustan Commercial Corporation, and Zenaida R. Tantoco, chairman and CEO of Rustan Commercial Corporation, lead the Christmas launch.

Marilou Tantoco-Pineda and Eddie Pineda join guests before the display window.

There’s a diverse selection of decorations to suit every taste, including the timeless elegance of Chinoiserie inspired by the fusion of Chinese-European culture. In Santa’s Candy Land are oversized candy decorations, candy canes, and gingerbread accents. There’s the Nutcracker collection, the Snowman-themed decorations, and The Christmas Village collection of finely crafted decor that will one day be treasured heirlooms.

The launch saw each floor with its own special activity. On the Men’s and Beauty floor on the first level were musical and dance performances by Ellipsis, Skydance Avenue, Kammerchor Manila, and more. Rustan’s The Beauty Source hosted a Holiday Beauty Hunt, which challenged guests to find hidden Christmas ornaments in exchange for goodies. In the men’s area were a cocktail mixing and tasting session with Jura, a shoe-cleaning activity with Crep Protect, board games with Gaming Library, and instant photo printing and personalized postcard calligraphy at the Montblanc booth. Guests also tried their luck with Euroo’s spin-the-wheel, or tapped into their inner creativity by crafting a one-of-a-kind patchwork tote bag at the Vina Romero booth.

On the Women’s and Fine Jewelry floor on the second level, guests enjoyed classic games such as card memorization and ring toss. The 360 Camera Photo Booth at The Gallerie, a Mirror Booth in the shoes and bags area, and a glam self-shoot experience at the Silver Vault area provided Instagrammable moments.

They even had a chance to win a prize by taking a photo at The Traveling Mommy Bag corner.

There was also a Key Coffee sampling booth for the grownups.

Rustan’s Makati’s third floor became Twinkle Town, where guests could meet and greet Santa Claus, enjoy pastries from Rebel Bakehouse, play around at Elf Academy, and even watch the Elves on Skates.

On the Home floor on the fourth levels were carnival games and a photo booth, with pizza and chocolates at the Breville and Theo & Philo sampling booths.

The launch signaled the return of the classic Rustan’s Christmas Registry, giving everyone the opportunity to shop at ease during the holiday season. Rustan’s is hosting a Charity Registry in partnership with a local welfare program, allowing patrons to extend a warm and generous hand to vulnerable children throughout the season.

The October 24 launch also rolled out special promos running during the holiday season:

With a time-limited 0% bank installment promo, running from Oct. 24 to Jan. 7, 2024, Rustan’s offers flexible terms like P3,000 for three months, P10,000 for six months, and P20,000 for 12 months.

For Men’s goods, various brands are extending time-limited offers from favorites like Braun, Herschel, American Tourister, Samsonite, Adidas watches, Casio, Cross & Sheaffeur, and more. From November 19 to 29, shoppers will receive a complimentary Montblanc Glacier Coaster for every purchase of a watch from the Montblanc 1858 collection.

From October 25 to November 5, Rustan’s extends x3 FSP Points for a minimum single receipt purchase of P5,000.
