Bea Rose Santiago, who is best known for winning Miss International in 2013, has been away for almost five years when she lived in Canada. She grappled with health concerns at that time and decided to stay in Toronto because her immediate family lives there and because of Canada’s efficient health care system.

Enhancing complexion balm on Bea Rose Santiago
In those five years, Bea underwent kidney dialysis while waiting for a new donor. However, that did not keep her from going on with life, especially even during the pandemic when she would even post in Instagram her happy moments. Her IG followers could not help but notice the dialysis tube attached to her. Her dialysis treatment lasted four years. Luckily, they finally found a kidney donor, her brother—though her brother, mother and sister all offered to be donor, it took a long time to schedule the transplant because this was at the height of the pandemic, and as Bea recalled, her doctors had to make sure both the donor and recipient would emerge from the transplant healthy and able to look forward to a long life. She waited for almost two years.
Today, everything is fully back to normal for Bea. She is very thankful for this new lease on life. That is why she decided to fly back to the Philippines and stay here for good, to start a new career and this time, a more optimistic and promising outlook in life.
She is reconnecting with people whom she hasn’t seen in years, thanking them for the ties of friendship, especially during her stint in Bb. Pilipinas and Miss International.
She feels good and exudes an inner peace—a countenance TheDiarist.ph decided to help capture and project.

Hermès Plein Air for light sheer hue, radiant natural finish
TheDiarist.ph decided to give her a welcome makeover with Hermes beauty— two looks, one for day and night—highlighting some must-haves from the Maison’s newest beauty line. Pageant makeup is definitely a thing of the past for Bea, that is why Hermes beauty is perfect— it is subtle and has deep, lasting radiance, starting with the widely popular Hermès Plein Air, Complexion balm also known as the enhancing complexion balm (we use the shade called Ficelle). It gives the skin a light, sheer hue, creating a radiant natural finish.

Radiant matte powder and Radiant Glow Powder for soft silky finish
Next is the translucent matte powder and radiant glow powder which gives a soft, silky finish. The shade is for all skin types.

Hermès Plein Air, H Trio mineral powder Sahara for sun-kissed glow
To give Bea’s complexion a natural warmth and sun-kissed glow, there’s the H-trio mineral powder in Sahara and Corail Mojave.
- Ombres d’Hermès, Eye shadow quartet, Ombres Fauves
- Trait d’Hermès, Revitalizing care mascara, Noir Fusain
For the eyes, the Ombres d’Hermès Eye shadow quartet was applied. This six-color palette creates a natural, intense or sophisticated look. To further enhance the eyes, the Trait d’Hermès, revitalizing care mascara, intensifies the gaze with lash-to-lash volume.

Rouge Hermes, Matte lipstick refill, Rose Boisé, subtle rosewood color
For Bea’s lips, we picked, just like her name, the shade called Rose Boisé, a gentle and subtle rosewood color. This comfortable, hydrating matte lipstick is velvety and powdery which delivers a long-lasting color.

Hermesistible, Infused Care Oil, Rose Kola, to hydrate and nourish lips
Topping it off is Hermesistible, Infused Care Oil in Rose Kola for a glossy effect, the lip care oil nourishes, hydrates and smoothed the lips while it leaves fresh makeup-up look.

Rose Hermes, Silky blush powder, Rose Pommette
Finishing her fresh, glowing look is the Rose Pommette silky blush powder applied on her cheeks for a rosy glow.
