Be vigilant, BTS fans: Don’t buy fake tickets for j-hope concert!

PH ARMY, united under ‘HOPEful in Manila,’ urges fanbase to guard against scalpers and scammers as ticketing opens

Nearly 40 Filipino ARMY fanbases have come together to remind fellow fans to stay vigilant against scalpers, scammers, and the use of unofficial/unauthorized ticketing methods as ticketing starts for the much awaited concert of BTS’ j-hope, Hope on the Stage in Manila. J-hope’s HOTS concert is on April 12 and 13 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

BigHit Music, BTS’ record label, announced that the ARMY membership pre-sale period for the Manila leg is on February 19, the Smart pre-sale period is on February 20, and the General on sale period is on February 21. SM Tickets is the official ticketing platform.

Under the collective name “HOPEful In Manila,” the fan bases are urging their fellow Filo-ARMYs, also known in the fandom as Pearls, to follow strictly Weverse’s and Smart Communications’ pre-sale registration instructions and purchase tickets only through the official ticketing channel.

Scalpers, scammers, and those offering services to access unauthorized ticketing links or queueing have long taken advantage of fans eager to see their favorite idols perform live.

The ARMY fanbases have already seen several online schemes claiming to offer Filo-ARMYs easy access to tickets for j-hope’s concert, even before BigHit Music’s official ticketing announcement.

It is alarming that many fans have already fallen for these deceptive practices, risking the hard-earned money they saved to see j-hope live in Manila.

Filipino ARMYs are among the largest and most dedicated BTS fan bases worldwide.

The phenomenal South Korean group is set to reunite this year, with RM, V, Jimin, Jungkook, and Suga completing their mandatory military service in June 2025. In the meantime, Jin and j-hope, who were discharged last year, have resumed their solo activities. Last February 18, j-hope turned 31, and fellow members Jin and Jimin, who had apparently taken time away from his military duties, helped j-hope welcome the event with a cake and flowers.

Representatives from the ARMY fanbases under Hopeful In Manila are available for interviews regarding this public service announcement.
