After more than a year of hiatus, Korean star Kim Soo Hyun, the actor acclaimed for such global K-drama hits as Queen of Tears and Love From the Star, begins his comeback with a campaign for BENCH, the Filipino global lifestyle and fashion brand that stayed with him through a drawn-out controversy that derailed his career just when he was at the peak. He has been cleared of dating accusations that were proved to have been fabricated.
And his fandom, especially the netizens, have joined the celebration apparently. Posts have been welcoming his comeback and lauding BENCH’s loyalty to the star.

Even top Korean actor and apparently Kim Soo Hyun’s friend, Jung Hae In (Love Next Door, Something in the Rain, One Spring Night, D.P.), is getting praised for his support of Kim and for “liking” Kim’s post of his shoot with BENCH. The two have been BENCH endorsers for some time now.

Kim Soo Hyun became BENCH endorser and Benchsetter as early as 2021. He then represented the brand for about three years, and held packed fan meetings at Araneta Coliseum. His last BENCH fan meet here, One Extraordinary Day with Kim Soo Hyun, where he even broke in tears upon viewing a touching video from fans, was in 2022.

While BENCH hasn’t announced a fan meet of Kim Soo Hyun for this year, it is presumed that talks are being held.
Kim Soo Hyun is a fine actor, one of the best in Korea who’s gone global. His filmography is not only impressive but also significant for its range, diversity, and of course, ratings chart dominance. He is one actor who can subsume himself in the character in a seemingly natural way, be it as romantic lead or tragic hero—as it was evident in It’s Okay Not to be Okay, Queen of Tears, One Ordinary Day, or such movies as Secretly Greatly, The Thieves.
Filipino fans await his comeback—right here in Metro Manila.
