Jigsaw puzzles using images of BenCab artworks are now available. Gigo Alampay’s CANVAS and Looking For Juan have produced two designs of BenCab puzzles:
They are 8 MONUMENTAL SABELS (300 pcs, finished size 45.7 x 41.69 cm, P2,500). Sabel is one the best-known muses in BenCab’s art. This 300-piece art puzzle features the artist’s painting titled 8 Monumental Sabels.
HEROES OF THE PAST (500 pcs, finished size 35.6 x 70.01 cm, P3,500) celebrate Filipino heroes. BenCab captures portraits of unnamed revolucionarios. As the artist puts it, “These are ordinary rebels, not the usual glorified heroes.”

The jigsaw puzzles are available at the BenCab Museum Shop in Baguio (with option to pick up in Makati). Every purchase of these puzzles is matched with book donations to children in support of CANVAS’ 1 Million Books for 1 Million Filipino Children Campaign. CANVAS (Center for Art, New Ventures & Sustainable Development, www.canvas.ph) has published and donated thousands of children’s books to public schools, hospitals, and disadvantaged communities throughout the country to inspire children to love books and reading. CANVAS is building the Tumba-Tumba Children’s Museum of Philippine Art (www.tumbatumba.ph) in Batangas which will also benefit from the sale of the puzzles.
