For many in the South, enjoying Metro Manila’s most talked-about comfort foods usually means driving over all the way to Makati. This March, there was no need for that as Rockwell’s Summer Socials happened last weekend at Alabang Town Center itself, transforming the South’s weekend landscape into a foodie destination.
Gathered were Metro Manila’s most sought-after culinary names.
It wasn’t just a typical food fair; it was a first glance at the new Rockwell lifestyle now in the neighborhood.
The summer festivities continue at The Grove Retail Row and Santolan Plaza from March 20 to 22, then to The Proscenium Retail Row from March 25 to 29, and The Pavilions at Nara from March 27 to 29.

The event featured vendors known for their signature comfort food: Nolita Joe’s SPM pizza, topped with sausage, pepperoni, and mushroom; Scratch Burgers; Mang Kaloy Fried Rice; Takaw street-style tacos; Chino’s Deli sandwiches.

Sweet and refreshing options rounded out the lineup. Minimalist soft-serve from Miruku by Ujisan provided a cool break from the afternoon heat, while The Good Poison and Feisty served small-batch bottled iced teas. For dessert, Ciento Cookies brought its signature oversized, gooey bakes.
“We wanted to bridge the gap between these cult-favorite flavors and the South,” says a Rockwell events representative. “It’s about bringing that specific energy and taste to a community that values convenience without compromising on quality.”
The Summer Socials offer more than just food. Wabi Sabi’s pottery workshops, led by instructor Jason Tengco, was a rare opportunity to engage in slow-paced, hands-on creation.
To complement the atmosphere, DJs Nica and Cian provided a curated vinyl-style backdrop as the sun set. Before heading home, attendees visited The Memory Machine, a vintage chemical-process photo booth that offered a physical, analog alternative to digital snapshots.
More merchants will join events. The summer festivities continue at The Grove Retail Row and Santolan Plaza from March 20 to 22, before heading to The Proscenium Retail Row from March 25 to 29, and The Pavilions at Nara from March 27 to 29.
