As a surgeon trained in otolaryngology (surgery specializing in conditions of the head and neck), Dr. Arnelle Y. Quiambao, FPSO-HNS, has performed his fair share of face-lifts. Pollogen Legend achieves slimming and anti-aging effects by combining two recognized technologies in one machine: TriPollar Radio Frequency (RF) and Dynamic Muscle Activation (DMA).
The former uses low energy to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, making skin smooth and firm. The latter employs RF’s electrical current to trigger muscle contraction with no effort on your part. (Think of it as doing sit-ups while you’re lying down, says Dr. Quiambao.) DMA results in body contouring, fat melting, lymphatic drainage, and taut skin.

“Melasma in particular is very difficult to treat and requires a combination of topical creams and lasers,” says Dr. Quiambao. “Yellow laser is one of the most effective treatments for melasma.”
Desired results from these machines can last up to a year, “for as long as you’re consistent with the recommended number of treatments,” he says. “Depending on the area, the intervals between treatments are between two and four weeks. For more problematic areas, we can do it every week.”
