The Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines (KCC) has successfully concluded the first ever K-Pop Academy, a groundbreaking event that drew K-pop lovers in the Philippines. The Academy, from July 5 to August 2, culminated in a rousing recital on August 3, showcasing the talent and hard work of its participants.
The K-Pop Academy is a comprehensive program designed to immerse students in the vibrant world of K-Pop. Classes were conducted by renowned mentors such as AUSPICIOUS from Korea, P-pop girl group KAIA, and Ace Dance Studio’s highly recognized Ciel Go. These industry experts gave invaluable insights and training, helping students hone their skills in dance, performance, and stage presence.
During the final recital, the Boy Group Dance class did a high-energy performance of The Boyz’ Thrill Ride, while the Girl Group Ddance class performed Twice’s Yes or Yes. Both performances proved the dedication and progress of the students.
“Congratulations once again, and we hope you continue to shine and pursue your dreams and goals with the same passion and determination that brought you here today,” said Kim Myeongjin, the KCC director during his opening remarks.
The KPOP Academy returns next year. KCC is planning to make it an annual event.
