For the first time, artist Geraldine Javier, one of the most in-demand artists today and whose work has been well received in international auctions, will be in Katutubo PH, with her Geraldine Javier Studio Products. Those products have been conceptualized and designed by Javier, executed by her studio team, with the proceeds of sales going to the team’s workers.
Held in collaboration with BENCH, Katutubo PH holds what promises to be its most celebrated pop-up on August 19-21, Friday to Sunday, 10:30 am to 8 pm, showcasing over 50 local brands, from accessories to homeware and food.
The event will also include clothes by leading fashion designers Pepito Albert, Randy Ortiz, Rhett Eala, Vic Barba, Bacolod-based designer Trude Lizares, Mandy de la Rama.
Katutubo PH will be held at BENCH tower, 30th street corner Rizal Drive, BGC. It’s now a popular brand that has been curating events since 2016, aiming to showcase local products and designs from different regions, to give consumers a unique experience of Philippine culture. Through the pop-ups, Philippine fashion and crafts, it is hoped, will be adopted in the everyday life.
Safety protocols, including the use of face mask, will be followed in the event, as well as the regular procedures to sterilize the venue.
