THE group is an interesting but illustrious mix of artists, a politician, and even a renowned retail tycoon whose heart was in arts patronage. The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) will award the 13 individual and organization recipients of the Gawad CCP Para sa Sining 2024 on Sept. 20, 2024, 7 pm, at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater at Circuit Makati.

They were voted on by the CCP Board of Trustees, as this is the highest award given by the culture institution to artists or groups in dance, music, theater, film and broadcast arts, literature, visual arts, architecture, and allied arts and design, in recognition of outstanding works in a particular art form or noteworthy contributions, as well as to cultural managers and workers who have given critical contribution to the development of art forms, or to Philippine culture in general.

A special award, the Tanging Parangal ng CCP, is also given to individuals or organizations in government or the private sector for their efforts in promoting artistic and cultural activities.
