FENDI has named world-acclaimed Korean actor Lee Min Ho as the brand ambassador in Korea, according to its post in social media. Lee Min Ho expresses both excitement and his deep affinity to FENDI: “I am very honored to be a part of the FENDI family as an ambassador, a Maison that to me is rich in heritage as well as creativity. I look forward to an exciting adventure with the house.”

Lee Min Ho is a highly accomplished and multi-awarded actor who has become a household name in Korea and even in many parts of the world, from Asia to the US and even Latin America.

He has built a sizeable global fandom with hits such as Boys Over Flowers, Legend of the Blue Sea. He will be seen as Hansu in Pachinko, the Apple TV+ series to premiere globally on March 25, a dramatic and absorbing chronicle of the hopes and dreams of a Korean immigrant family. It is a sprawling epic spanning Korea, Japan, and the US.

In the official announcement, Lee Min Ho is photographed in black jacquard blazer, shirt and trousers with the FENDI Earth motif from FENDI Men’s Spring/Summer 2022 Collection, with the iconic Peekaboo lSeeU Medium bag.

The house of FENDI was established by Adele and Edoardo Fendi in Rome in 1925. The opening of the first FENDI boutique—a handbag shop and fur workshop—followed. Soon winning international acclaim, FENDI emerged as a brand renowned for its elegance, craftsmanship, innovation and style. The collaboration with the late Karl Lagerfeld began in 1965 and lasted 54 years, in 1992 Silvia Venturini Fendi seconded him in the artistic direction. In 1994 she was given responsibility of Leather Goods Accessories and then the direction of the Menswear line. In 2000 the LVMH Group acquired FENDI, becoming in 2001 its majority shareholder.

In September 2020 Kim Jones was appointed artistic director of Couture and Womenswear, while Delfina Delettrez Fendi, fourth generation of the Fendi family, joined the Maison as artistic director of Jewelry.

Today FENDI is synonymous with quality, tradition, experimentation and creativity. www.fendi.com
