Moreau at 8Rockwell—the new destination of Manila’s style connoisseurs

The French heritage brand that dates back to Napoleon brings its hand-stitched, hand-painted, and exotic materials

Metro Manila’s fashion connoisseurs have a new destination—Moreau at 8Rockwell, Makati, the new and finely built boutique of the French heritage brand Moreau that showcases the brand’s rich heritage and style in its range of iconic leather accessories, from  classic trunks to totes.

The boutique’s soft creme tones blend beautifully with champagne metal accents. The interior design stands out with molded panels, stone shelves, and pieces of furniture inspired by historical Moreau trunks, while the wooden floor boasts a Moreau historical pattern, including small triangles of champagne anodized aluminum for a subtle yet elegant shine. The Moreau blue stands out in the luxurious carpet.

MoreauThe store showcases distinctive Moreau branding, starting with the iconic Exlibris, or the “spider logo,” at each store entrance. The La Maison Moreau “letter logo” graces columns adorned with the refined wall paneling concept at the main entrance. Additionally, a metallic “letter logo” brand name is prominently displayed on the column at the mall’s right entrance, and a suspended metallic “letter logo” brand name is elegantly displayed on the street-facing show window.

To celebrate the brand’s coming to Manila, Moreau Paris’ window design heralds the Jeepney, the iconic king of the road of the Philippines. The Jeepney is now the Manila-exclusive design offered by the store. The jeepney illustrations are exclusively featured on the coated canvas of the classic St. Tropez totes and the intricate printed leather of Vincennes PM bags.

A stylish crowd gathered at the store opening event, that served afternoon wine from winery.ph, canapés from Margarita Forés, while a jazz band played modern French music. Guests had the chance to personalize the bags with their names or initials drawn by the label’s in-house artist. Moreau Paris CEO Frank-Matthias Kuntermann and H&F Managing Director Jappy Gonzalez led the guests.
