Peninsula Manila offers special prices
for 45th anniversary fare

Forty-five years ago, The Peninsula Manila opened its doors in one of Manila’s most prestigious addresses along Ayala and Makati Avenues to coincide with the holding of the World Bank–International Monetary Fund Convention in Manila. To commemorate the 45^th anniversary of its founding in 1976, general manager Masahisa Oba asked the hotel’s executive chef Xavier Castello and his team to come up with an extensive menu of classic favorites and new flavors with only one stipulation: prices must reflect the spirit of the anniversary.

That was how the final selections in the 45^th anniversary menus got to be priced at P45, P197.60, P450, and P1,976.60.

The 45^th anniversary menus have offerings from The Lobby, Spices, and The Peninsula Boutique and will be available from now until September 30.

While dining under The Lobby’s iconic “Sunburst” sculpture is unfortunately not possible now, The Peninsula Manila chefs have crafted a 45^th anniversary takeout and delivery menu of Lobby favorites to enjoy at home.

There are Spices favorites for those feeling nostalgic and wishing to travel back in time.
