Earlier this September, Apple announced the release of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, and with camera upgrades and new performance features, they’re hard to miss. Equally interesting, however, is the debut of their new colors. Beyond the regular black and silver colors, Apple has revealed the latest iPhone Pro in the colorways—a deep Burgundy and a light blue called Glacier.
It’s the complete opposite from the iPhone 17’s special colorways—the in-your-face Cosmic Orange, which people either loved or hated, and the Deep Blue color. The iPhone 18’s subtle new palette arguably leans into a more sophisticated and fashion-forward vibe. This is because before the iPhone 18 release, the deep, striking red wine and light, cool-toned blue had been on the radar, spotted on the runways of some of the biggest fashion houses.
Perhaps Apple didn’t just pick colors at random; they mirrored the exact palettes dominating the 2026 runways.

The French luxury fashion house Chanel’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection showcased a long-sleeved look in the rich red-purple shade and a long dress in icy blue, with the same deep cherry accent at the hem. They also used both shades as pops of color in one of the looks, from a burgundy belt, bag, and shoes to an inner blue top to contrast with a khaki vest.

Another well-known French luxury brand also used the two colors on its Fall/Winter 2026 runway. Hermès had a collection in the same burgundy and glacier colors, with interesting fabrics and silhouettes. The light blue was a silk undershirt to add a pop of color, while the deep wine was on leather coats, dresses, bodysuits, skirts, and more. Hermès didn’t hesitate to lean in with their bold looks when it came to burgundy, and much like Apple, they made it a main color of the line-up.

When contemporary, upscale fashion brand COS had their Spring/Summer 2026 runway, they featured the dark cherry in a structured set, proving the hue can also be the definition of minimalist elegance. Meanwhile, Italian fashion house Prada embraced icy blue for their Fall/Winter 2026 collection, delivering an effortlessly cool aesthetic through a striking dress ensemble.
Ultimately, Apple has connected itself to the fashion ecosystem by matching the runway’s richest shades. With Burgundy and Glacier leading the charge, perhaps Apple wants their iPhones to no longer just be a gadget you use, but also a statement accessory that completes a look.
