Ascott and Torre Lorenzo create a new kind of city living, from serviced residences to communal dorms

The Ascott Limited Philippines Executives turns over a new leaf in the hospitality industry with the unveiling of The Suites at Torre Lorenzo Manila in Malate. A residential area meant to provide the ultimate urban lifestyle experience to people from all walks of life, it is well furnished with tasteful decorations and modern facilities, all at close proximity to the key sites and places in the metro.

The Suites at Torre Lorenzo Manila is one of the many properties under The Ascott Limited Philippines’ roster of premier serviced residences. It is designed for guests who want to unwind after a long day of exploring Manila’s historical landmarks, museums, restaurants, and other tourist hotspots.

Lyf Champion and The Suites at Torre Lorenzo Malate’s residence manager Joyce Pascual–Agsaway explains that the development, launched June 30, 2023, has two properties— The Suites and lyf Malate Manila.

The Suites caters more to the corporate long-term leasing guests, “Compared to the usual rental condominium units, with corporate leasing market (highlighting), when you stay in The Suites service residence, you get everything in, including 24-7 concierge service, parking, wi-fi, fully furnished units. No further administrative payments that are usually required when renting condo units,” Agsaway explains.

The Suites at Torre Lorenzo consists of 168 rooms and offers a more refined lifestyle, catering to guests that appreciate comfort. “They would want to have everything in their rooms, which are fully furnished,” Agsaway said. The property is also perfect for long-term stay of families, since the area is near Manila Zoo, the parks, Intramuros, and malls. The Suites interiors carry the vibe of old Manila, reflecting the city’s old heritage.

Being in the hospitality industry for 17 years, Agsaway has worked in top luxury hotel chains, but she admits that working in this new project with The Ascott group and Torre made her not only think out of the box—“It made me destroy the box,” she said. With the launching of the other property which is lyf Malate Manila, a unique communal space of its kind in the Philippines, Agsaway said that it gave them the opportunity to be creative.

Lyf Manila caters to the next-generation traveler, “It is a communal space that fosters collaborations and dynamic lifestyle.”

The interiors ranging from the communal kitchen, lounge area to the laundromat offer a more vibrant, more modern, contemporary designs. Its aim is to create a sense of community among guests. This is where Torre Lorenzo became the perfect collaborator in this project for having a strong grip of the student market, perfect for potential student dorm alternatives. Lyf Manila is basically socially extrovert in design and has 207 rooms, which gives a more dynamic, more socially engaging experience.
