Maison Margiela, the French luxury fashion house founded by Belgian designer Martin Margiela and now helmed by creative director John Galliano, has finally returned to Homme et Femme 8Rockwell.

For its Spring/Summer 2024 collection, the house explored the concept of transmutation, which is “the act of inheritance.”

A statement from the brand noted that “Maison Margiela performs a search for personal truth in the generational transformation of an inherited wardrobe for the Co Ed Spring Summer 2024 Collection. Creative Director John Galliano initiates a chemical reaction between eras and attitudes based on a flashback story developed within the Maison’s ongoing chronicle of the characters Count and Hen. The outcome is to evoke the memories of one age through the radical eyes of the next.”

A commercial and fully genderless capsule has been developed by the studio, as seen in the products of the store. This capsule wardrobe is built around signature designs, bestseller and recent carryover styles in new colorways, colors that match the current “Avant première” collection as well as the COED collection.

An intimate gathering was held to celebrate the return of the brand to the store, attended by Manila’s fashion crowd. With a store display and set-up inspired by the Maison’s runway presentation, the event included a photo session with Lomography Philippines to complete a photowall.

Overall, this is part of the reintroduction of Homme et Femme as a top-of-the-line store, with brands known for being timeless classics with refined edge.
