TikTokers, beauty bloggers, and industry insiders were all in nudes and neutrals as Estée Lauder kicked off its innovative My Shade, My Story campaign at WhiteSpace Manila. Celebrity and fashion photographer BJ Pascual was introduced as the Philippines’ brand ambassador, one of five creatives selected from across Asia Pacific (Japan, Korea, Thailand, and Taiwan).
From the fun interactive photo wall and makeup tutorials to the customized gin and tonic and cognac cocktails, the evening was all about creativity, inclusivity, and self-expression. In the words of Pascual himself, “You see Double Wear, I see destiny in creation… It warms my heart that a lot of people who are LGTBQIA+ are getting recognized and are out there inspiring a new generation of creatives and letting them be themselves.”
Estée Lauder’s iconic global best seller, Double Wear Makeup, has gained a cult following for its 24-hour staying power and flawless matte finish on all skin types. Every minute, 14 bottles of the waterproof and transfer-resistant liquid foundation are sold around the world.
At the event, Pascual naturally donned his own preferred shade of Double Wear (Dawn) for a fresh and translucent finish on the skin. “Makeup has become second nature to me. I enjoy being able to express myself, whether it’s through a simple look or when I’m in the mood to experiment,” he said. “I see how it’s transformative to the people I shoot, and it has the same effect when it’s applied on me.”
Estée Lauder’s Stay-In-Place foundation comes in over 55 shades globally (with more than 30 of those available in the Philippines) to match skin tones of every background and ethnicity. Head over to Estée Lauder’s closest counter to find the perfect Double Wear shade for you and wear your own story.
