In 2015, when TV host Marie Lozano visited Barcelona, Spain, to cover the Rosa Clará fashion show, which was set to open Barcelona Bridal Week, she made quite an impression on the designer herself. Mrs. Rosa Clará and her team were immediately attracted to Marie’s sense of style, charm, and grace.

In 2018, when the Spanish designer visited the Philippines to meet her brides and to present her latest collection, the two met again when Marie interviewed her about her business. After that interview, Mrs. Clará shared with Marie that she would love to dress for her wedding.

Fast forward to 2023, Marie wed her long-time boyfriend, renowned environmental photojournalist Aaron Gekoski, at the beautiful Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe. Marie could finally take the Rosa Clara offer.

Marie wore the stunning Ludovica gown from the Rosa Clará 2024 collection, and her groom loved it.  The classic wedding gown in body-sculpting serpentine silhouette showed off Marie’s svelte figure, its delicate lace of a nostalgic, vintage feel. Its halter neckline led the eye to the peek-a-boo cutout on the back. The long serpentine bridal dress was a blend of elegance and daring.

Like with many brides, the long bridal dress that Marie ended falling in love with was only one of many she tried on at the Rosa Clará boutique at the Residences at Greenbelt, Makati. The Rosa Clará team encourages brides to try on as many styles as they want until they find what suits them. Marie tried on different designs, like sweetheart necklines and A-line silhouettes.  Ludovica was offered to Marie by the Rosa Clara experts as a “wildcard” as they took into account her fashion sense, her figure, and the romantic venue of her wedding. She loved the choice in the end. She did her fitting, with close friends and parents around, who, of course, gave their inputs.

“I tried on so many different dresses. I’ve probably tried on over 20 dresses at Rosa Clará since I got engaged. When I first put on Ludovica, it just felt perfect. It even matched my engagement ring. It was the dress I couldn’t get off my mind,” Marie now says. “I also knew my fiancé would love it.”
