City of Dreams Manila unwraps exceptional Father’s Day exclusives to celebrate the special day of dads—every kind of dad, whether it be for dining, staycation, wellness, or shopping.
Clebrity-inspired brunch experience at Nobu Manila
A celebrity-inspired weekend brunch or dinner awaits dads at the global brand Nobu, known for the New-Style Japanese cuisine of celebrity Chef Nobu Matsuhisa. For the Father’s Day brunch on June 16, fathers can enjoy unlimited helpings of Nobu signatures offered in all Nobu restaurants around the world—Black Cod Butter Lettuce and Signature Sashimi Trio: Tuna Matsuhisa, Yellow Tail Jalapeño, and Salmon Karashi Su Miso (tart miso mustard sauce)––and baked slipper lobster and Kobe Smash Burgers with aji amarillo aioli from an all-you-can-eat a la carte menu that complements the buffet spread.
Then there’s the Whole Roasted Wagyu Brisket and Wagyu Chuck Roll with a choice of Nobu sauces. For seafood lovers, there are Irish Gallagher oysters, blue crabs, and shrimps on ice. The buffet highlights are a whole tuna, freshly cut and expertly prepared sashimi, sushi, and nigiri alongside the assorted premium chef’s selection of nigiri, sushi, and maki rolls served with Nobu custom-prepared sauces.
The brunch spread extends to the restaurant’s cabanas, where grilled pork ribs and kushiyaki or skewered and grilled items— assorted vegetables, chicken skin, chicken thighs and salmon belly—are prepared on a robata grill, al fresco.
Other brunch come-ons are noodles, salads, tempura, hot dishes, and soups.
The dessert corner has tempting chocolate fountain with assorted fresh fruits and sweets for dipping; whole cakes, truffle parfaits, and a variety of ice cream flavors. Nobu Manila’s Father’s Day brunch on June 16 is at P4,388 net per person and includes unlimited non-alcoholic beverages. For celebrations a day earlier, the regular Nobu brunch is at P3,499 net per person is an option. Brunch service is from 11:30 am to 3 pm.
For dinner, Nobu Manila offers a seven-course dinner tasting menu (P8,871.43 net per person). The seasonal tasting menu offered until end of June has a chef’s choice of zensai followed by Engawa (fluke fin) with red onion salsa, soy salt and garlic chips, and a seasonal selection of assorted sushi that comes with ebi (shrimp) roll in vegetable soup. Hokkigai (surf clam) with creamy sweet chili cilantro; White Fish in Butter Lettuce with garlic aioli and crispy wonton; Poached Salmon with creamy lemon garlic sauce and vegetables with den miso; and Sous Vide Beef Tenderloin with sweet soy anticucho, yuzu kocho, grilled asparagus, and crispy shitake come after.
The dinner menu concludes with Kurogoma Rippoutai or black sesame mousse with strawberry gel insert, hazelnut crunch, berry foam, kinako (roasted soybean flour) tuille, and hazelnut crumble. Nobu’s dinner service is from 5 pm to 10 pm from Sunday to Thursday and until 11 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
Known for Cantonese and regional Chinese specialties, Crystal Dragon offers a Father’s Day a la carte menu for lunch and dinner from June 10 to 16. The menu consists of: Deep-fried Stuffed Crab Claw rolled in phyllo kataifi (phyllo dough) and served with plum chili sauce; Double-boiled Pork Ribs with dry scallop, peanut, lotus root, red dates, wolfberries and bamboo pith; Wok-seared Australian Lamb Rack with homemade mint sauce; Szechuan-style Oven Roast Grouper with assorted mushroom and roots vegetables; and Chilled Bird’s Nest with monk fruit and dry lily bulb.
Fathers dining on June 16 will receive a special amenity from the award-winning restaurant. Crystal Dragon is open daily from 12 noon to 11 pm.
The curated buffet of local and international cuisine at Hyatt Regency Manila’s interactive show-kitchen restaurant, The Café, has new stations starting June 10 for breakfast, lunch, dinner. It includes made-to-order tacos at the Mexican corner, and action stations that prepare Caesar salad and roast beef sliders for lunch. Dinner has a carving station for roast beef sirloin, a grill station of mixed kebabs, Chinese barbecue station, and a sauté station offering a flambé of shrimp with tequila, and for Korean food lovers, a station of favorite specialties, Japanese and Indian dishes, a selection of seafood on ice, and a dedicated station for soft serve ice cream for both lunch and dinner buffet.
For Father’s Day, free-flowing local draft beer and red and white house wines at The Café’s lunch and dinner buffets
Inclusive of free-flowing juices, local draft beer, red and white house wines at lunch (12 noon to 3 pm) and dinner (5:30 pm to11 pm), the buffet is at P1,950 net and P3,150 net, respectively, per person. Breakfast buffet (6:30 am to 11 am) is available for P1,400 net per person, with free-flowing coffee and tea.
