It could have been just an ordinary day at Power Plant Mall last July 13 for famous concert pianist Zenas Reyes Lozada, except that it wasn’t. She and another seasoned pianist, Bong Infante, went viral with their high-energy rendition of Quando Quando Quando—high octane for pianists in their senior years. Zenas Reyes Lozada turned 86 this year.

This mother/lola (sons Angelo and Anthony Lozada are top swimming coaches who continue the institution started by their father, sports icon Bert Lozada) was on her usual stroll at the Food Court of Power Plant Mall at Rockwell Makati, when she spotted longtime friend Infante, a YouTube celebrity himself, doing his usual sets for mall-goers. The Food Court at Power Plant has become known for live music performers who have become the favorites of diners and denizens.

Zenas decided to stop and greet Infante, then jammed with him. Before both knew it, they were already doing Quando Quando Quando, Le Vien Rose and two other pieces. The mall-goers video-ed and posted the impromptu duo performance. Son Angelo, who was with his mom, took the video which he posted in his Facebook. It drew thousands of views on the first two days.

Angelo sent it to TheDiarist.ph, and it has been gaining thousands of views.

Zenas’ day in the mall has become the joy of the moment.
