Home and Kitchen Diaries

I’ll be eating my way through Solaire every week—for Hyun Bin!

The Korean actor is finally (crash) landing in Manila, and meet-and-greet tickets are up for grabs

Crispy fried chicken + unlimited ice-cold beer = perfection

I DON’T fangirl. Not usually. But Hyun Bin is the exception.

And what better way to fangirl than to eat my heart out at Solaire? Every P2,000 single-receipt spend at any bar or restaurant in Solaire Resort Entertainment City (and Solaire North!) gets you one raffle entry to Hyun Bin’s fan meet in August!

But seriously—Hyun Bin comes second to my love of food. (He’s dessert!)

If you’re wondering how to spend that P2,000, here are my go-to Solaire favorites that keep me coming back:

Kkanbu chicken and beer. This always hits the spot when I’m craving Korean fried chicken—and I’ve tried a lot of chains! Kkanbu is my go-to when I want that chicken street in Myeongdong vibe. (I just call it that; not sure what the locals call it. But if you know, you know.)

Rose Tteok-bokki—spicy, creamy, and comforting

Lobster Weekends at Fresh. Unlimited fresh lobsters. Need I say more?

All the charcuterie you want

I’m also obsessed with the salad bar. And don’t get me started on the unlimited wine and charcuterie!

Perfectly seasoned grilled seabass and shrimp? Yes, please

Right now, I honestly don’t know what I’m dreaming of more—eating Korean chicken or meeting Hyun Bin.
