Latest Montblanc collection inspired by Europe’s majestic mountain and glaciers

While the iconic Meisterstück is a writing instrument at the pinnacle of writing culture, the Mont Blanc is a natural wonder that towers high above other mountains in Europe. Its captivating glaciers have inspired the Montblanc Meisterstück Glacier, a new collection of four different Meisterstück writing instruments with new finishes and treatments reminiscent of the mystical beauty of these ancient glaciers.

The majestic mountain has always been a source of inspiration for the Montblanc brand. Its glaciers are expressed in its six-point emblem, and the 4810 embossed on its nibs represents the height of the mountain as a symbol of the Maison’s dedication to crafting high-quality products. The spirit of adventure the Mont Blanc inspires is also core to Montblanc’s own attitude towards exploration and the preservation of the great outdoors.

The design elements of the Montblanc Meisterstück Glacier collection evoke the awe-inspiring beauty of a disappearing natural treasure that must be preserved—from the blue/grey and white tones, to the new PVD coating technology that gives the surface a shimmering ice-like appearance, to the engraving on the Doué and Solitaire editions that resembles the refraction of light when hitting ice crystals.

Based on the legend that the Mer de Glace glacier resembles a giant monster hugging the northern slope of Mont Blanc, every nib in the collection is embossed with the Mont Blanc Mer de Glace dragon.

The collection consists of four writing instruments, each available as a fountain pen, rollerball pen, and ballpoint pen:

• Precious Resin LeGrand in blue/grey precious resin with platinum-coated fittings

• Precious Resin Classique in white precious resin with blue PVD-coated fittings

• Doué Classique with a platinum-coated metal cap with special engraving evoking the geometrical refractions of ice crystals and a barrel in Blue/Grey Precious Resin

• Solitaire LeGrand with a cap and barrel with special engraving evoking the geometrical refractions of ice crystals, covered by a translucent blue lacquer and paired with platinum-coated fittings

Underscoring the importance of preserving glaciers and mountains for the future, the sustainable packaging is 100 percent plastic-free, minimizing Montblanc’s footprint on the environment.

The Montblanc Meisterstück Glacier writing instruments are part of a larger cross-category collection that includes leather goods, stationery, watches and accessories to be introduced throughout 2022.
