To have the opportunity to mount a shoot with Michael Cinco, Luis Carlo San Juan, and Krishnah Gravidez in the breathtaking landscape of Dubai is a fashion dream come true for me.
Planning ahead and art directing the shoot were a challenge since I had never done an editorial shoot in Dubai.
Working with Luis Carlo San Juan on creative direction and styling was an incredible experience that allowed me to tap into my artistic vision. His guidance helped shape the overall aesthetic and tone of the editorial. Through our collaborative approach, we were able to bring a cohesive and polished visual story to life.
Location scouting led me to the remote, untouched areas of Jebel Ali. The breathtaking backdrop of this rugged landscape provided the perfect canvas for our fashion story.
The moment I laid eyes on the dead tree with a small branch growing on it, I knew we had found the perfect spot to capture the essence of our fashion narrative. Amid the chaos and uncertainties in the world, that branch symbolized hope and resilience. It was a powerful reminder that even in adversity, there’s always hope.
Despite the challenges posed by the remote location, we managed to wrap up the shoot in less than an hour. The shoot was a testament to seamless collaboration, with production members from diverse nationalities, including British, Pakistani, Nepali, Bangladeshi, Indian, Somalian, and Filipino.
Working with Krishnah was an absolute pleasure. She’s the kind of person who brightens up the room like a ray of hope. Her kindness, compassion, and generosity are inspiring—a true Miss World.
It was a full-circle moment collaborating with Michael Cinco. I recalled taking backstage photos during his show at Red Charity Gala in 2019 when I was still a student.
Witnessing his magic backstage left me feeling inspired to pursue the fashion industry. I’m forever grateful to collaborate with such talented creatives.
