In line with its commitment to sustainability, technological innovation, B&B Italia has unveiled the Piero Lissoni’s Borea outdoor collection in its showroom in BGC.
B&B Italia’s philosophy is based on the importance of beautification and preservation of the outdoors, as shown, for instance, in the use of wall panels that underscore B&B Italia’s sustainability efforts in the past years, its use of polyester fibers from recycled materials like PET bottles to create quality pieces with a reduced environmental footprint by using wood certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.

These efforts for sustainability come to fruition with Piero Lissoni’s Borea, which has been recognized worldwide for its distinctive design and ecological materials. As testament to its efforts towards innovation, circularity, and sustainability, the Borea collection received the 2022 Green Good Design Award from The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.

The event last Nov. 9, 2022 was a coming together of media, architects, designers, and influencer society. They were welcomed by the B&B Italia’s Asia Pacific head of retail and wholesale, Wanda Rottstegge. The guests enjoyed the afternoon with a selection of fresh herb and fruity cocktails by The Curator and modern Italian pass-arounds served by Cibo di M by Margarita Fores, to a special performance by Steps Dance Studio headed by Sofia Elizalde and choreographer James Laforteza, who impressed the crowd with a contemporary dance incorporating art, movement. The guests were in a setting of B&B Italia Outdoor pieces. For tokens, the guests were given customized fans designed by Filipino artist Reena Gabriel featuring B&B Italia Outdoor’s 15-year anniversary logo, produced by Casa Mercedes.
