Nicole Coson presents her perpetually moving world

Silverlens Gallery presents the debut US show of London-based Filipino artist

Nicole Coson

Silverlens New York is presenting In Passing, Nicole Coson’s debut solo exhibition in the US until April 20, 2024. The London-based Filipino artist will showcase a new series of work that investigates the symbolic qualities of the container as a pragmatic metaphor for the circulation of people, capital, and consumer goods in a world intricately connected through the movement of food.

Through the mediums of painting, printmaking, and sculpture, Nicole Coson: In Passing draws inspiration from the artist’s personal experience of moving from the Philippines to the United Kingdom at a young age. Her work both reveals and obscures as it harmonizes materiality, the natural world, and categorical systems of classification to bestow form and understanding upon a perpetually moving world.

Nicole Coson’s In Passing will be on exhibit 7 March to 20 April 2024 at Silverlens Gallery New York.
