They say first love never dies—and I know exactly what they mean. Crash Landing on You was my very first K-drama binge, and today, years later, I still haven’t moved on. Now, with Hyun Bin finally “crash landing” at Solaire Resort, I know I never will.

His voice? Like butter. His charm? Effortless. And when he talks to you, he really looks at you.

That’s when it hit me—so this is what fangirling feels like. Stepping into The Grand Ballroom at Solaire, I could barely contain myself. When host Sam Oh asked if we were both nervous and excited, I thought, Yes. Exactly that. The icebreaker trivia at the start was a fun, unexpected touch.

Fun fact: Like many Korean actors, Hyun Bin adopted a stage name early on; “Hyun Bin” loosely translates to “shining bin.” And shining he was—radiant, in fact.
He answered our questions with sincerity and heart, and it was a joy to listen to him.
You’ve traveled for many projects, but is there a travel habit, ritual, or item you always bring with you—maybe even now in the Philippines—that fans might be surprised to learn about?

He also shared that he tried adobo and found it delicious, and that he’s been enjoying the beautiful views at Solaire.
We now wait eagerly for his upcoming Disney+ project Made in Korea later this year.

When the event ended and I happened to leave the ballroom at the exact same time as his entourage (purely by coincidence, of course), the doors opened to a chorus of screams from his fans. I stood aside and watched him approach them with such ease, warmth, and genuine charisma. You could just tell—he truly cared.

Thank you Solaire Resort’s Joy Wassmer for making CLOY fans’ dream come true!
