Famous South Korean actor Hyun Bin lands at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong soon. The global popularity of the K-drama and movie actor grew with the top rating series Crash Landing on You, the suspenseful romantic comedy about an heiress who accidentally landed in North Korea. Hyun Bin and his female lead, Son Ye Jin, a famous and seasoned actress herself, tied the knot this year in a wedding that went viral among their fans worldwide.
Hyun Bin is also known for his roles in other Korean dramas and movies such as My Name is Kim Sam-soon (2005), Secret Garden (2010), The Swindlers (2017), and the latest project that gained global popularity, Crash Landing on You (2019-2020), to name a few. His wax figure will be added to the museum’s star-studded display. It will tour Asia.
“When Madame Tussauds approached me for a wax figure immortalization, I was very excited and looking forward to seeing the actual figure! Can’t wait to show everyone how my figure will look like,” said Hyun Bin.
In the announcement video, Hyun Bin asks his fans to guess how his figure will look like, and where it will be launched.
“The Korean market will be one of our strongest markets and have always been very important to our attractions in Asia. We believe that Hyun Bin’s fans will be as excited as us to get up close and personal with him in Madame Tussauds. Upon unveiling his wax figure, it will be displayed in Madame Tussauds Singapore, Hong Kong and Bangkok. So do stay tuned for our announcements on our social media channels on where will be Hyun Bin’s first stop.” said Mei Chion Lim, regional marketing director, Rest of Asia.
